Hi there, thanks for taking time to know me. I'm Vidhi, a former Architect now turned Product Designer located in the San Francisco Bay Area.Ever since I was young, I've had a natural curiosity for design, amplified by my family's background in designing, architecture, and civil engineering.Following my 5-year Bachelor's degree in Architecture, I spent 4 years gaining professional experience in architectural design.
Architecture | Product Designer
I believe Architects and Product designers share a common goal of creating experiences that are functional, user-friendly, and tailored to the needs of the people who will engage with their designs. While architects focus on physical spaces, Product designers work with the digital spaces, but both disciplines involve understanding human behavior and designing with user-centricity in mind.
Blending my architectural foundation with UX design principles, my goal is to craft user experiences that bring joy and enrich lives, anchoring my professional journey as a UX Designer in the Bay Area.
Defining the Problems
Armed with insights about senior citizens, I shifted focus to identify targeted concerns. Building upon empathy map observations, I delved deeper to comprehend their obstacles, crafting POV statements and HMW questions to guide my brainstorming effectively.

A Journey from Family Roots to Designing Excellence
I was lucky to be born into a family of Architects and Engineers. Designing runs in our blood – from my grandfather to my younger brother, everyone is involved in the field of designing. As a child, I grew up surrounded by designs and models crafted by my grandfather. I often joined him and my father on site visits, learning from their expertise firsthand. Watching my grandfather solve design problems sparked my own interest in becoming a designer. Since then, designing has been a part of me, driving me to create better solution for users.
